## Season

- Dry / main sailing season: **April to November**. Calmest seas: May to September.
- Wet season: December to March; more rain, bigger swell, some operators pause.
- Manta rays at Manta Point: year-round, most reliable December to February (plankton), with
  good sightings through the dry season.
- Peak pricing and crowding: July-August and the Christmas / New Year period.

## Government fees (not included in the charter price)

- **Komodo National Park marine park entrance (PNBP, Government Regulation PP 36/2024):
  IDR 250,000 per person per day.** Flat rate.
- Separate operational levies are collected on top: conservation levy (about IDR 100,000 per
  person per day), harbour fee (about IDR 25,000 per person per day), and a per-group
  ranger / trekking fee on the dragon islands.
- This is why bundled figures of **IDR 650,000 to 900,000** circulate online: those are
  package totals (PNBP + levies + ranger), not the entrance ticket itself.
- The IDR 3,750,000 "premium membership" ticket proposed in 2022 was **cancelled** and is
  not in force.
- Small local tickets apply at Batu Cermin, Sylvia Hill and Puncak Waringin — village and
  district tariffs change, so confirm at the gate.
